(permission granted)

Frances Joann Williams, 82, of Fort Collins, Colorado, and formerly of Bartlesville, died peacefully January 11, surrounded by her loving family.

Fran was born December 20, 1934 in Sharon, Pennsylvania. She married P-66 engineer Kenneth Williams in 1959. The couple moved to Bartlesville in 1965 and raised four active children. After Ken retired in 1986, the couple moved to Colorado, but maintained close ties to Bartlesville. Widowed in 1996, Fran was a dynamic woman who found countless ways to teach, inspire, and serve others in her church and in her community.

Fran was preceded in death by her husband Ken, her sister Lois Flowers, and her daughter Dr. Jennifer McKissick (founder of Hopestone in Bartlesville).

Fran is survived by her sister Charlotte McNutt, as well as her daughter Ellen Williams and Ellen's three children, Evan, Lauren and Valerie Sumner; her son Ralph and his daughter Phoebe Henderson; her son Paul and his children, Grant, Cole, Kate and Paul Williams; and by the late Jennifer McKissick's daughters, Brandy and Gabrielle Storey, and by Julia McKissick and Jennifer's husband Scott McKissick. "Granny Franny" is also survived by her great-granddaughter Mackenzie Sumner, daughter of Evan Sumner.

A memorial service for Frances was held on January 21 at The First United Methodist Church in Fort Collins. Her ashes will later be placed alongside her beloved husband at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville.

Memorial donations may be made to Hopestone Cancer Support Center in Bartlesville or The First United Methodist Church (earmarked "Children's Ministries"), 1005 Stover St., Fort Collins, CO 80524.
