Phyllis Emma Watts, 76, of Bartlesville, went home to her
Heavenly Father Saturday.
Phyllis was born the daughter of Fred Manuel and Eva Ophelia (Lee) Watts on
February 21, 1940, in Tulsa, OK. She was raised in Tulsa with her 10 siblings.
She was united in marriage with Cecil R. Burger in 1955 and two children were
born to this union. In 1964, Phyllis moved to Bartlesville and managed the Lot-A
Burger for five years. Phyllis was a good provider for her family, she worked
for TRW in the early ‘70s, Cox Groceries, Lunsford’s Groceries, Tastee Freeze,
and managed Mr. Swiss for several years. Later in life she worked for Jane
Phillips Hospital in housekeeping. She looked after children in her home and
most recently was the treasurer for her church, Grace of God Ministries.
Phyllis is survived by two children, Stephen Way Hasting, and Susan Louise Berg
and Jim; 10 siblings, Joseph Andrew Watts, Frank Alan Watts and Sue, Frances Ida
Bryan, Rosie Carnagey and Don, Esther Nioma Smith, Mabel Patsy Watts and Cheek
Owens, Manuel Gene Watts and Sarah, Luther Martin Watts, Edward Alvin Watts and
Elbert Wayne Watts and Loreta; three grandchildren, Stephen Joseph Berg, Amanda
Susanne Puckett and Jenell Berg; one great granddaughter Lylah Ann Puckett; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10-8, at the Davis Family Funeral Home,
918-534-3030, 113 S. Osage (Hwy. 75), Dewey.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, November 10, at the Davis Family
Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Carter Davis and the
Davis Family Funeral Home. Online condolences and remembrances may be shared
