Thelma Lea Parker Wade, 93, of Duncan, Oklahoma died Wednesday June 15, 2016 in Duncan.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday June 17, 2016 at the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. The committal service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Thelma was born May 10, 1923 to John Monroe Parker and Emma Lou Eva Allen Parker in Greenville, Oklahoma. She graduated from Amber High School in 1941. She was enrolled part-time at Cameron University and worked at Fort Sill Officer Candidate School. While at Fort Sill, she met the love of her life, Corporal John T. Wade, Jr. They were married at the Fort Sill Old Post Chapel on Feb. 12, 1944. He preceded her in death.
Thelma worked for Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma for 40 years, retiring Feb. 1, 1985. Following many years of living at Grand Lake, they moved to Duncan in 1999.

Survivors include two daughters, LCDR Debra Wade, USN (ret) of Duncan and Dawn J. McVay and husband Edmund of Oklahoma City; two granddaughters, Dr. Kimberly Dawn Hagan and husband Chase of Edmond and Sara Ann Worten and husband Tyler of Oklahoma City; four great-grandchildren: Avery and Carter Hagan and Anna and Tucker Worten; two sisters, Elsie Muchmore of Duncan and Carolyn Maxine Boerner of Milton, PA; one brother, H.D. Parker of Lawton, Oklahoma; and many other loving family members.
