Sharon Irene Wehmeyer
Sharon I. Wehmeyer, age 78, passed peacefully into heaven on February 13th, 2022, with her husband by her side. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. There was nothing on earth she cherished more than her family. Sharon spent her lifetime creating memories that will live on in her family's hearts for generations. She was preceded in death by her parents Clara I. & Killis W. Jeter, Jr., and her sister Judy (Jeter) Skinner. She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, John Wehmeyer, and two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Katie Wehmeyer, Ken Wehmeyer and wife Sherrie Bollinger, her niece Tamsen (Skinner) Cole of Bartlesville, and four grandchildren Hayden, Mary, James, and Brooke & Kris Puga. Also surviving are her two siblings Killis Walton Jeter III & wife Eugenia and Juana Khan & husband Sal. Further survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Sharon spent her life volunteering with the Bartlesville Public School system where she helped as a teacher's aide, playground monitor, and was part of developing the after-school programs for elementary students. She also volunteered with her sons' sports programs and always encouraged their passions in life. She never missed an opportunity to watch her grandchildren excel in their various sports, dance, gymnastics, and academics. Sharon enjoyed macrame, crocheting, sewing, baking, and gardening. All of which she taught and passed down to her children and grandchildren. She loved spending time at her family's lake, fishing, reading, and watching her kids play. Sharon also enjoyed attending her annual family reunions where she could reconnect with extended family. In her retirement she delighted in listening to her husband's music and traveling with him to various music festivals such as Hootin an Hollarin, Sunfest, OK Mozart, and various venues in Oklahoma and surrounding states.
Sharon was a lifetime member of The Order of Eastern Star, initiated in October of '92 by her mother Clara. She had great admiration for her time with Eastern Star and held the friendships she made there close to her heart with many fond memories. She was a member of the Bartlesville Chapter #142 and Nowata Sunrise Chapter #22. Sharon formerly served as Worthy Matron for both chapters and Grand Warder for the state of Oklahoma.
Sharon Wehmeyer left a great legacy of care and devotion to family and friends. This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful woman has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts. She will forever be remembered by the lives she touched and will be dearly missed.

Monday February 21st
11 am Service at Arnold Moore Neekamp Funeral Home Bartlesville, OK
12 pm Graveside at Memorial Park Cemetery Bartlesville, OK
1 pm Celebration of Life at the Masonic Lodge Bartlesville, OK
