Judith Faye Webster known to her family and friends as Judy, 83, of Bartlesville, OK, passed away Saturday, March 21st.
Judy was born November 27, 1943, in Pawhuska, OK to William and Mollie Smith. Judy was born into a ranching family where her dad was a cowboy, first on the Drummond Ranch and then the Kane Ranch. Judy's young life was spent with her brothers Jon and Joe, and her sister Ann. Judy loved animals having many dogs, cats, and even a pet coyote in her youth. Her sister, Ann, said Judy had a way with animals, she taught her dogs all sorts of tricks and even taught her cat to sit up. Judy learned at an early age to work hard, contribute, and enjoy life. Judy valued friends and made friends easily, graduating from Ochelata High School.
Judy married and then had her son, Bryan Lucas, on August 7, 1971. Bryan was full of life, enjoyed being with friends and family, and most of all loved his mom. Judy and Bryan enjoyed a very close relationship. Judy, Bryan's anchor and guide as he learned and took the path of ups and downs in life. Bryan passed on August 25, 2016. A testament to Judy's faith in the lord, Judy continued with life, but mourned Bryan every day. Judy enjoyed talking with others about Bryan and remembering all the good times they had together. Judy loved Bryan.
Judy married a second time to Boyd Webster, Sr, December 31, 1980. Boyd had a grown son, Boyd Jr. and daughter, Elizabeth. Bryan and Boyd, Jr. had an instant connection and were brothers in the truest sense of the word. Boyd, Jr married Sonya Webster in 1983 and from this new path in life Judy built a new version of family that centered around Judy's love of cooking, gardening, and family. Boyd Sr passed November 2, 2007, and Judy's family with Boyd, Sonya, and her grandson Ethan remained constant and strong.
Judy was dedicated to her career in the banking industry, working at First National Bank, Home Savings and Loan and 66 Credit Union. Judy also worked part time at Dillards for many years. Judy's last and favorite job was at Treasurer's Jewelry Store. Fulfilling her love of jewelry and need to work, be with people, make new friends, and connect with her community. Judy was always a hard honest worker. Enjoying a challenge and being part of a team.
Judy is survived by her sister, Ann Briggs of Bartlesville, her stepson Boyd Webster, Jr, his wife Sonya and her grandson, Ethan, all of Bella Vista, AR. Her sister-in-law Linda Smith of Bartlesville. Her nieces Linda King of Bartlesville, Michele Spence and husband Craig of Vinita, Brenda King and husband Kenny of Grove. Great Nieces and Nephews Ariel, Kelcey, Curt, Michael and their families. Judy is predeceased by husband Boyd Webster, Sr. and her son, Bryan Lucas, both of Bartlesville. Her brothers Jon Smith of Fairfax, and Joe Smith of Bartlesville.
