January 11, 1957 - August 16, 2025

Julia Jeane Uehlinger, 68, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 16, 2025.

Julia was born on January 11, 1957, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to William Clifford Chesser Jr. and Dorothy Jeane (Lackey) Chesser. She attended Oklahoma State University and later Miller-Motte Technical College, where she studied medical transcription. Throughout her career, Julia worked as a paralegal and served in Probate Courts in both California and South Carolina.

On May 31, 2020, Julia married Richard Uehlinger. Julia' s life was filled with a love of reading, baking, traveling, and spending cherished time with her family and friends. She had a fondness for the color purple and Snoopy. She also found joy in giving back to her community, volunteering for the ProStart Culinary Competition as well as offering her time and talents to other worthy pursuits.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents, William Clifford Chesser Jr. and Dorothy Jeane (Lackey) Chesser, as well as her late husband, Willie Branton.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Richard Uehlinger; her son, Jarred Sherrill (Amanda) of Lonoke, Arkansas; stepdaughter, Caly Huggins (Anthony) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and beloved grandchildren, James Sherrill, David Sherrill, and Alexander Sherrill. Julia is also survived by her three brothers, Cliff Chesser (Diane) of Arlington, Texas, Leicle Chesser (Jan) of Levantine, Florida, and Jerry Chesser (Marla) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julia' s memory to ARF Animal Rescue Foundation of Bartlesville, 399519 US-60, Bartlesville, OK 74006, where her beloved dog Jessie was rescued.

Julia will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the love she shared so freely with those around her.
