Janet Lynne (Medlin) Taggart, 55 passed away Friday,
May 6th after a courageous battle with cancer,
during which she exuded her love for the Lord,
family, and friends, continuing her lifelong mission
of putting other before herself.
A celebration of Life Service will be held at 2pm on
Thursday, May 12th at Stumpff Funeral Home in
Bartlesville, OK followed by graveside at Memorial
Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK.
Memorial contributions may be made in Janet's memory
to World Vision International P.O. Box 9716 Federal
Way WA. 98063, or to Oklahoma Medical Research
Foundation for Lung Cancer 825 N.E. 13th St.
Oklahoma City, OK. 73104-9930.
Janet was born Feb. 8th 1961 to Alvin Eugene (Gene)
Medlin and Wanda (Blair) Medlin. She grew up in the
Bartlesville area attending school at various area
locations, graduating from College High School in
1979. It was during this time in her life that she
picked up her nickname "Nut" used by friends and
family alike. She went on to work at
Safeway/Homeland, Video Giant, Wallis Chiropractic,
Taggart Electric, and Dr. LeRoy Place Dentistry.
She married and divorced Thomas D. Thompson and
through their union her son, Thomas D. Thompson Jr.
was born in 1982, Her son Brandon Eugene Ridinger
was born in 1988, and she later married and divorced
Joe Taggart. She was a blessing to those who knew
her and had a way of making everyone feel important.
She loved her family and friends, spoiling her
granddaughters immensely. Her faith in Christ was
poured out upon those who knew her.
She is survived by her mother: Wanda (Blair) Medlin,
sons: Tom and Sarah Thompson Jr, Brandon and Ally
Ridinger, granddaughters: Autumn Thompson, Kate
Thompson, Breana Thompson, and Kaislee Ridinger,
brothers and sisters: Gene and Kacy Medlin, Tammy
and Leroy Gay, David and Adina Gay, Sharon and Rick
Eutsler, aunts: Donna and Howard Evans, Shirley
Inman, uncle: John Blair a host of cousins, nieces,
nephews and many good friends.
