Debra Elaine Suggs, 61, left this world on March 12, 2017 to
be with her Lord and Savior after an 11 year courageous battle with cancer.
Debra was born on May 20, 1955 to Jesse and Joan (Juby) Chavez in Bartlesville,
Oklahoma. Debra was raised in Bartlesville and graduated from College High
School in 1973. She then went to Bartlesville Beauty College and graduated in
1974. She made her career as a cosmetologist at Joan’s Fashionette working side
by side with her mother until she decided to become a stay at home mom. Debra
married Eddie C. Suggs on August 10, 1974 at the Virginia Avenue Church in
Bartlesville, the same church she was a member of. The couple made their home in
Bartlesville.
Debra’s biggest love was spending time with her children and granddaughter. She
was very compassionate towards animals and loved spending time and caring for
her pets. Debra loved to bowl, either in a league or just for fun. She also
loved traveling and doing activities with her friends and family.
Debra is survived by her husband Eddie Suggs, of the home; son Derrick C. Suggs;
daughter Sheena Brayfield and granddaughter Savanah Brayfield, all of
Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Carol Dray.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 10:00 am at the
Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
