Bentonville - Wanda Uldine (Whitewater) Evans-Stutzman passed away at home where she resided with her daughter Denise Evans-Cobb and her Great Granddaughter Bella Lux Farrimond in Bentonville, Arkansas Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
Wanda was born December 8, 1930, in Muskogee, OK the daughter of Archie Whitewater Sr. and Ida Miller Whitewater. She attended boarding school in Wyandotte, OK. After Wanda graduated from high school, she married James Lawrence "Larry" Evans in Tulsa, OK in 1949. In 1952, Wanda and Larry moved to Bartlesville, OK, where the couple raised their six children. Wanda enjoyed taking care of her family. The only thing more important than her family was her faith in God. She was very proud of her Cherokee heritage. Her hobbies included spinning, weaving, and painting. She was involved in the VFW Women's Auxiliary, Indian Women's Club.
Wanda is survived by her children and their spouses; Pam Evans Ashton and husband Chris of Copan, OK, Timothy C Evans of Memphis, TN, Martin R Evans and wife Toni of Plumas Lake, CA, Donna J Evans Alsobrook and husband Bob of Bentonville, AR, Denise Evans Cobb of Bentonville, AR, eight Grandchildren; Chris Brown, Jason Brown, Craig Evans, Seth Evans, Tommy Rohlfing, Angela Rohlfing, Jenifer Farrimond, Evan Farrimond, 20 great grandchildren and 5 great great Grandchildren and extended family and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four siblings, late husband J. L. Evans, son Mark R. Evans, and late husband Harry Stutzman
In lieu of flowers donations in Wanda's memory can be made to the Arthritis Foundation
Viewing for Wanda will be Friday from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am – 10:30 am. Services for Wanda will be held at Bartlesville Memorial Park on Saturday June 12 at 12:00 pm. Services have been entrusted to Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
