BARTLESVILLE EXAMINER-ENTERPRISE
BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Madlyn Louise Stockton, longtime resident of Bartlesville passed away December 13th, 2015.

She was born on Red Eagle Route in Osage County to Kenneth and Alma Moffat on January 4th, 1933.

Louise, as she preferred to be called, graduated from Stevenson High School in Washington
State where the family was living at that time. They soon moved back to Oklahoma where Louise went to work as a telephone operator.
She married her husband Wayne in the LDS church on December 15th, 1956. They would have been married 59 years this month.

She is survived by her husband Wayne Stockton, sons Kenneth of Denver, Colorado and son Mark Stockton of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Also by her brother Don Moffat of Durango, Colorado, sister Carman Moffat of Kennewick, Washington and sister Carol Roderick of The Dalles, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her son Conrad Stockton, her parents Kenneth and Alma Moffat and brother Kenneth Moffat Jr.

The family spent many summer vacations camping in their travel trailer and traveling to the west coast to visit relatives and see new places. The boys loved this time as did their parents. One highlight was fishing off the Oregon coast. Mark seemed to particularly enjoy these trips.
In the 1980's she and Wayne thoroughly enjoyed belonging and spending time square dancing with the Swinging Squares, Square dancers. Her sewing skills became apparent during this time of making both their elaborate shirts and skirts for square dancing. She loved traveling to the square dances, dressing up in their dance clothes and visiting with the other dancers.

Private family service at a later date in the family plot in Memorial Park Cemetery.
