Frank R. Stockton, 93, died at 2:30 A.M. on Friday July 13, 2012 at the Medicalodge of Dewey.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday July 17, 2012 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wally Thames officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
A memorial has been established in honor of Mr. Stockton and contributions may be sent to Smile Train located at 41 Madison Ave., New York, NY 10010.
The son of Wallace F. and Julia (Webb) Stockton, Frank was born on January 11, 1919 in Decatur, Texas. On May 14, 1939, Frank and Frances Hewlett were united in marriage in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He had lived in Bartlesville for over 60 years moving here from Cleveland, Oklahoma. Frank retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 41 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, working on electronics and attending church. He had been a member and deacon of the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Frances; one son, Donald Stockton; one sister, Beatrice Sims; two grandsons, Daryl Reese and Gregory Stockton.
Frank is survived by his children, Jeanne Reese and her husband, Jim, of Bartlesville, Glen Stockton of Bartlesville, Gayle Trower of Dewey; grandchildren, David Reese, Sarah Stockton, Rachel Stockton, Stacey Lenon, Stephanie McNeice, Shannon Williams, Kim Osborne, Lori Fast, Steven Stockton, Shelly Dolph and Bobbi Jo Brady; twenty -five great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew.
