Vaughn LeRoy Stevens, age 88 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016, at St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Vaughn LeRoy Stevens was born on November 20, 1927 in Bartlesville. He was the son of Stephen Edgar Stevens and Faletues (Sheets) Stevens. Vaughn received his education in Bartlesville. After high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge from the service, he returned to Bartlesville and went back to work for Myers Floral which later became Hains Greenhouse. He worked for Hains until his retirement.
On September 26, 1947, Vaughn married Delma Laverne Wickham in Bartlesville. He enjoyed his family, gardening, fishing and going to the cattle sales.
Vaughn and his wife, Delma, were longtime members of First Baptist Church, Bartlesville.

Survivors include three children, Sally LaVerne Davis and her husband, Charles, of Bixby; Daniel Vaughn Stevens, Sr. and his wife, Terry, of Dewey; and Phyllis "Jan" Dixon and her husband, Richard, of Jay; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen Stevens of Bartlesville, Chester Stevens of Tyro, Kansas Virgil Stevens of Dearing, Kansas and Gerald Stevens of Maysville,. Oklahoma; sisters, Loraine Hunt and Arline Sturgeon, both of Bartlesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delma; parents, Stephen and Faletues Stevens; siblings, Robert Stevens, Marvin Stevens, Lester Stevens, Orville Stevens, Cecil Stevens, Clifford Stevens and Geraldine Stevens.

Open visitation will be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Graveside services for Vaughn will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Bill Spencer will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Vaughn's memory may be made to the Girl Scouts of America, c/o Girl Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma, 511 E. 11th St., Bartlesville, OK 74003; or to the charity of the donor's choice.
