Mrs. Louise Sybeal Stapleton, 87, of
Bartlesville, died at 7:13 P.M. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at her home
in Bartlesville.
Mrs. Stapleton was born at Fairbury, Nebraska on December 8, 1929 to
Eltinge and Leona (Tarrant) Burris. She lived with her family in various
locations in Missouri and Texas until settling in Oklahoma where she
graduated from Dewey High School in 1947. She was married to Gerald E.
Stapleton on March 13, 1948 and they made their home in Bartlesville
where she was active as a homemaker. Mr. Stapleton preceded her in death
on July 10, 2010.
Mrs. Stapleton is survived by two sons, Gerald E. “Jerry” Stapleton Jr.
and wife Kandy of Bartlesville and Michael L. Stapleton of Tulsa, four
brothers, Tim Burris, Bob Burris of Austin, Texas, Dick Burris of
Naples, Florida and Buddy Ray Burris of Greeley, Kansas, one sister,
Sandra Kay Zimmerman of Arkansas, 6 grandchildren and 10 great
grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by
her parents, one son, Charles Stapleton, two sisters and one brother.
