Mrs. Lois Laverne Solomon, 92, formerly of Bartlesville, died at 11:50 A.M. on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Legends Senior Living facility in Oklahoma City.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Memorial Park Cemetery with Dr. Darryl Wootton and Pastor Ike Amaro officiating. Funeral services and interment are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

A memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to Physician's Choice Hospice, 1000 N.W. 139th Street Parkway, Edmond, Oklahoma 73013.

Mrs. Solomon was born in Rotan, Texas on May 26, 1924 the daughter of Lewis H. Clegg and Ada (Dixon) Clegg. She grew up in the Rotan Texas area and she was married to John F. Solomon Jr. on December 18, 1940 in Amarillo, Texas. Following his military service, they came to Bartlesville to make their home in 1946. Mrs. Solomon had been employed as a voucher clerk with Phillips Petroleum Company for over 20 years. Mr. Solomon preceded her in death on April 16, 1997. Following Mr. Solomon's death, she continued her home in Bartlesville until moving to Oklahoma City to be near her daughter in 2011. Mrs. Solomon had served as the church organist for many years at the Dewey Church of the Nazarene and she also enjoyed sewing and making her daughter's clothes.

Mrs. Solomon is survived by her daughter, Judy Stapleton Adams of Oklahoma City, a grandson, Ty Stapleton and wife Dawna of Norman, two step granddaughters, Lesa Doerstling and Linda Oliver, two great grandchildren, Ciarra Stapleton and Cameo Stapleton, four step great grandchildren, two sister-in-laws, Edna Harbison of Bartlesville and Jerry Clegg of Fort Worth, Texas, and three nephews, Truell Hyde, Brad Hyde and Condall Clegg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Solomon Jr., her parents, two brothers and one sister.
