(permission granted)
She was married to
Harvey Smith for 66 years. Mary is survived by her husband Harvey, sons
Dr. Howard Smith and Greg Smith (Terri), grandchildren Audrey Nihart
(Alex), Sean Smith (Yandee), E. Carra Miller(Ryan) and Naomi Smith, and
her favorite niece Paula Robison (Tim).
Mary was an active member of East Cross Methodist church for many years.
She and Harvey were long-time square-dancing enthusiasts, and they loved
walking, fishing and camping together. Later, she enjoyed her years
frequenting the 55+ Activity Center in Bartlesville. Passionate for
volunteer work, Mary gave her time to a local hospital, the Salvation
Army, and Meals on Wheels.
Family was the love of her life. To that end, she was a consummate
homemaker, an exceptional cook, a competent seamstress, a dedicated wife
and an active and loving mother and grandmother.
In recent years, dementia took its toll and ultimately took her life on
January 15, 2018. She will be greatly missed.
A service was held on Friday, January 19 at the East Cross Methodist
Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a memorial fund in her name at the 55+ Activity Center would be welcome. Make checks to: 55+ Activity Center, 1400 SE Washington Blvd, Bartlesville, OK 74006.
