Jason "Jay" Lee Smith, 46, of Bartlesville, died Tuesday, July 30, 2019.

Jay was born May 22, 1973 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to parents Stephen Edward Smith and Tonja Lynn (Bailey) Petty.
After he graduated high school, Jay worked as a home health care aide.
He enjoyed writing, playing guitar and his music. One of the most memorable moments in his life was the birth of his first grandson, Johnathan Elliott.

Jay was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Smith of Nowata and grandmother Jean Bailey of Bartlesville.

He is survived by his mother Tonja Petty and stepfather John Petty, of Bartlesville; oldest daughter Christian Elliott and husband Taylor of Aurora, Colorado; daughter Ruby and son Abel Vallandingham; oldest son Draven Smith of Aurora, Colorado; son Abel; one grandson Johnathan Elliott and grandfather Ed Bailey of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
