Warren started working for the Reda Pump Company as a draftsman in its support
engineering department; after 38 years and 3 months of faithful service, he took
early retirement on February 15, 1982.
He began attending church with his grandparents at the Church of God where he
meet the love of his life Wanda Lou Dowell. They were united in marriage on
February 18, 1949, and enjoyed 67 years together. They raised three daughters
and while their girls were teenagers, the family attended the Bartlesville First
Church of the Nazarene. Both Warren and Wanda were very active in the church and
were awarded the Distinguished Service Award in 2010.
Warren shared his lifelong passion for golf with Wanda. He was a member of the
Sunset Country Club and as a young man in his 30s, Warren made a hole-in-one on
July 30, 1964. Once retired Warren and Wanda would travel and played rounds at
many different courses throughout the U.S. and Hawaii. The girls remember many
memorable trips to St. Louis to watch the Cardinals play baseball - Warren was
an avid fan of the team. Later in life they took many memorable trips with
Wanda’s twin sister and her husband. He was a good provider and a loving husband
and father. Most of all Warren was a wonderful godly man who loved the Lord.
