STUMPFF FUNERAL HOME
BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Adessa Lee Stephenson, aged 87, died peacefully Monday in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born in Dewey, Oklahoma on March 26, 1935 to Bill and Georgia (Perry) Bell who soon moved to Bartlesville where she was raised.

She was happily married to her high school sweetheart Don Stephenson for 66 years until his passing in 2018. Through the years she enjoyed her time as a homemaker, gardener, and traveling with Don. Having their "go bag" with their motorcycle, they were liable to head off for anywhere in North America. And they loved it. She and Don had also been avid archers and she was proud to have once won a state championship.

After Don's retirement from Phillips Petroleum they especially enjoyed her back-yard green house, doing volunteer work for extension homemakers, and traveling with their big blue van and, of course, the go bag.

She is survived by her son Mark Stephenson and his wife Lynda, sister Mary Copeland and family of Claremore, brother Bill Bell Jr. of Florida, grandson Alex Stephenson and wife Shelly of Tahlequah, and great-grandchildren Jade Gregory and Jaxon Gregory.
