George Henry Sagel
August 14, 1948 - January 8, 2025
Bartlesville, Oklahoma

George H. Sagel, 76, of Bartlesville, OK, passed away early Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Jane Phillips Medical Center.

Born George Henry Sagel, on August 14, 1948, to Howard E. Sagel and Alice M. (Melrose) Sagel. He was a 1967 graduate of Hominy High School. George attended Ramona schools for 11 years before the family moved to Hominy, his senior year. After high school, George joined the United States Marine Corps, serving in Japan and Vietnam. After his discharge, he went to work for Central States Business Form, retiring in 2001 after 32 years of service.

George married Kathy Fogle on May 23, 1969, at Pawhuska, Oklahoma and moved to Bartlesville, where they made their home since.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Sagel of the home; two brothers, Keith Sagel and Howard E. Sagel, Jr.; one sister, Vivian King; and six nephews and five nieces. George was preceded in death by his parents; by a stepfather, Jim Eller; by a daughter, Georgianna K. Sagel; by a sister, Frances McGuire; and a half-sister, Alice Shackleford.

Graveside service will be at held 2pm, Monday, January 13, 2025, at Bartlesville Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Randy Little, officiating. Friends may call Sunday, 1-5pm at the funeral home and the family will receive guests from 3-5pm. Those who wish may make contributions to Washington County SPCA.
