Carl Lavon Reynolds, 86, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, died at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 13, 2018.

Carl was born in Delaware, Oklahoma, on January 21, 1932, in Nowata County to Johnny and Dolly (Vanatta) Reynolds as the youngest of 12 children. He attended Delaware Grade School and later moved to Parsons, Kansas, and attended Labette County Community High School and then NEO College in Miami, Oklahoma. Carl married Lorene Dick on January 21, 1950, at Parsons, Kansas. Lorene preceded him in death on March 3, 2010. Carl was employed by Union Gas Systems as a Plant Manager and then worked on the Katy Railroad and Frisco lines as a Switchman and later as a Diesel Fireman; he worked his way up to Engineer. He was later employed by Phillips Petroleum Company as Senior Operator, taking early retirement in 1984. Carl was later employed by the Washington County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy, then later went to work at the Nowata County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy, retiring in 2007. At his retirement, he was ranked as a Sergeant.

Carl served in the U.S.  Army from April 1950 to March 27, 1955. During the  Korean conflict, he ranked as SP3-T. Carl loved flying and obtained a commercial pilot certificate, as a Corporate Pilot, with multi-engine ratings #1666677. He was a member of the New Harmony Baptist Church. Carl also obtained a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite of Ramona Lodge #326 with the office of Chaplain.

Carl is survived by his wife Uleta of the home; his children Jimmie and his wife Kay of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Rhonda and husband Joe Stark of Owasso, Oklahoma; Kristy Sample of Claremore, Oklahoma; and Jeff and his wife Stella of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; his sister Lela Davis of Phoenix, Arizona; son-in-law Brien Vaughn of Owasso, Oklahoma; and Uleta's sons, Joe and wife Shelly Castoe and Jay and wife Pilar Castoe.

Carl was also preceded in death by a daughter Dolly Vaughn, grandson Clay Dalton Brumit, his parents, five brothers, and five sisters.

Family will greet friends at Stumpff Funeral from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Stumpff Chapel in Bartlesville, with Reverend Tom Cox and Minister Dan Snider officiating.

Interment with Veterans Honors will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville. Friends who wish may sign the online guest book and leave condolences at www.stumpff.org.
