She was born March 4, 1943, in Winfield, KS as the youngest daughter of Arvy and Elanor Bannon. While in high school in Douglass, Kansas, she was a twirler, a cheerleader, as well as the basketball and football queen. During this time, she dated the point guard and quarterback, Gary, and they married in 1966. They celebrated their 55 years together in June of 2021.
After they married, they moved to Bartlesville where Gary started a 35-year career with Phillips Petroleum Company. Carolyn worked as an executive secretary for REDA Pump and later part time as the Madison Junior High School lunchroom supervisor. No child ever went hungry under her watch in the cafeteria whether they had money or not.Funeral will be at Stumpff Family Chapel at 10 am on Thurs, Sept 16th.
Final interment will directly follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
