Mrs. Mayta “Maxine” Proctor, 89, of Bartlesville, died at 3:32 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at The Journey Home in Bartlesville.

Funeral services for Mrs. Proctor will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with The Rev. Steve Hood officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Friends who wish may call for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Saturday and Sunday from 9 A.M. until 8 P.M.

Memorial funds have been established and those who wish may send their contributions to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 210 S.E. 9th Street, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74003 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 2448 East 81st Street, Suite 3000, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74137.

Mrs. Proctor was born at Carterville, Missouri on November 26, 1928 to Claude and Erma (Welcher) Manes. She grew up and received her education in Webb City, Missouri until moving to Parsons, Kansas where she graduated from high school and then attended Parsons Junior College. On July 2, 1948 she was married to Carl Monroe “Moe” Proctor and they made their home in Bartlesville. Mrs. Proctor was employed with TRW-Reda Pump for 10 years and the manager of the invoicing department. She was a member of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church where she had been active in Sunday School. She enjoyed playing golf, playing bridge, gardening and cross stitching. She was always involved in her children’s activities and events.

Mrs. Proctor is survived by four children, Susan Barbee and husband David of Disney, Oklahoma, Cindy Templeman and husband Philip of Disney, Oklahoma, Nancy Brasel and husband Roger of Keauhou, Hawaii and Lori Silver and husband Rick of Bartlesville, seven grandchildren, Jay Templeman, Lindsay Templeman Leach, Laura BarbeePurswell, Tara Barbee, Kelsey Silver, Allie Silver and Steven Silver and four great grandchildren, Kaden Jay Templeman, Jaxon Monroe Templeman, Stella Marie Grace Templeman and Dutch Purswell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Max Manes and her husband, Carl Monroe “Moe” Proctor in 2014.
