BARTLESVILLE EXAMINER-ENTERPRISE
BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Boundless passion! Richard Graydon Price had boundless passion for many things. Boundless passion for fishing, he loved to fish and never stopped this life-long enjoyment. Boundless passion for his wife, Karyl, whom he married in 1961 and was wed until his death 57 years later. Boundless passion for life, he never stopped living life or enjoying its simple pleasures, and most of all a boundless passion for his family. He never stopped caring about his family and they were always his focus. Anytime a family member needed help, his hand was one to which they reached.

Born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on November 8, 1933, he graduated from Bartlesville High School and then served in the  United States Navy  on the Aircraft Carrier Yorktown from 1955 to 1957. After completion of his military service he went to Oklahoma State University receiving his Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. degrees all from OSU. He made his career at the same University becoming a Professor of Entomology and then made this his occupation until retirement. Richard's boundless passion will not be forgotten, but remembered forever by those who knew and loved him. Richard died on October 8, 2018, in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by those same family members who were so important to him.
