Gloria was born in Bartlesville to Clifford and Doris Cowan on September 2, 1938. The family lived briefly in Portland, OR, before returning to Bartlesville. She met her husband, James, in 1958, and they were married in Bartlesville in 1962, where they raised their three boys. Gloria spent her professional career in banking and insurance. She worked at First National Bank in Bartlesville, managed the REDA Employees Credit Union, and later worked for Waddell & Reed as an investment adviser. After serving at Stumpff Insurance for several years, Gloria finished her career at Phoenix Insurance. She also served as an officer of Credit Women's International and on the advisory board at Tri-County Tech. Gloria attended the 1st Assembly of God for 53 years. She then attended Tuxedo Assembly of God for 27 years. She served faithfully. She directed the children's choir in her younger years. She sang in the choir and played the organ for the church most of her life.
Gloria is survived by her husband of 56 years, James Pratt of Bartlesville, and three sons: Scott Pratt of McKinney, TX; Stacy Pratt of Collinsville, OK, with his wife, Teresa; and Shelby Pratt of Plain City, OH, with his wife, Julie; two brothers, Cliff Cowan of Nixa, MO, Sherrill Cowan of Bartlesville, with his wife, Joyce; and one sister, Janice Wilkie, also of a Bartlesville, and her husband, Lawrence. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family will receive guests at Stumpff Funeral Home on November 12, 6 p.m.to 8 p.m.. The service will be conducted by Stumpff Funeral Home at Tuxedo Assembly of God, on Tuesday, November 13, at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be at Memorial Park in Bartlesville following the service.
