She was proceeded in death by
her parents and brother James Laughry.
Janet graduated Bartlesville Public High School and continued her
education completing a Bachelor of fine Art in Graphic Design from the
University of Tulsa Oklahoma in 1978. She worked as a Graphic Art
Designer / Illustrator at Phillips Petroleum for 7 years. She designed
the Oklahoma State Seal, the O.K. Mozart bill boards with associated
advertisement artwork and won many art award / contests before starting
a family.
In her youth she came to know Christ as her savior attended the Wesleyan
church and was on the winning team at many bible study competitions. She
was a life guard and on the Phillips diving team.
She was united in holy matrimony to Mark James Parrett on May 9th 1981.
Being a wife and mother became the love of her life for the next 38
years. She was at every wrestling match, baseball game, soccer game,
gymnastics tournament, karate exhibition, palm, cheerleader activity,
Wesleyan youth group including "Possibility People" practices and
shows. They say you can't be in two places at once but sometimes she
was in three. She was small in stature but cut a wide path and left a
big hole in all our lives.
Janet Parrett passed with family and friends around her in St. John's
Hospital on September 2nd 2019.
