Mrs. Oliver was born in Kansas City, Kansas on November 1, 1928. She lived in Kansas City, Missouri where she attended school and worked as a photo retoucher. She then married Glenn J. Oliver in “Antioch Baptist Church” at Kansas City, Missouri on October 22, 1948. They moved to Bartlesville where she was a proud housewife and mother of 5 girls. Bernice was active in a Home Demonstration (Extension) Club, “Order of Eastern Star,” in which she was initiated in to the Unity Chapter in 1981 and was Past Matron of that chapter in 1991, and became a member of the Dewey Chapter upon consolidation and was active as long as she was able. She attended Eastern Heights Baptist and then Bluestem Baptist Churches. Bernice and Glenn lived in Dewey about 28 years where she passed away in her home.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn, five daughters and three son-in-laws; Carol and Jim Darling of Owasso, Brenda Sheikh of Bartlesville, Sally Ann Tariq of Dewey, Dorothy & Terry Allison of Flowery Branch, Georgia, and Diane and Bruce Rickman of Dewey, 14 grandchildren and their spouses, Jimmy and Ashli Darling, Shannon and Eric Harmon, Sarah Wilson, Tamina and Leo Victor Friedman, Joshua Sheikh, Phoenix Sheikh, Omar Tariq, Nadir and Stephanie Tariq, Aamir Tariq, Shabbir and Jia Tariq, Ben and Anna Allison, Joanne Allison, Randi Kay and Keith Hunt, Ryan Rickman, and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
