George was born on August 21, 1926, to Edward O’Brien and Josephine Huddock in Turtle Creek, Pennsylvania.
George attended University of West Virginia and received his bachelor’s degree
in chemical engineering. He worked at Phillips Petroleum Co. as a Chemical
Engineer for 36 years. On September 8, 1951, George married the love of his
life, Laura Rita Logan. He enjoyed playing Golf, and Poker. George was a proud
World War II Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Logan, and his parents, Edward and Josephine.
He is survived by his sister, Marie McCoy of Hollidaysburg, PA; 6 children, Michael and wife LaJo, Dan and wife Marie, Bob, Mary Lou and Husband Tom, Jeanne, and Jim and wife Tammy; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday, January 10, at 2 p.m. at St. John Before the Latin Gate Catholic Church in Bartlesville and is under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
