Richard Edward Nottingham, 71, of Bartlesville, OK entered into glory on May 1st, 2018.

He was the husband of Louella “Janie” Nottingham and they shared 50 blissful years of marriage together. Richard was born on February 10, 1947, in Tahlequah, OK to Dorothy “Hunter” Nottingham. He attended and graduated from West High School in Wichita, KS. He then went on to join the navy in 1965. Upon, his return he married his sweetheart, “Red”, in 1967 and they had their daughter Cytina. Richard was employed at Funk Manufacturing in Coffeyville, KS for a time but went on to be employed as a rural route mail carrier with the United States Postal Service. After almost 20 years of service, he retired from there in September 2008.

Throughout the years he & Janie served in several different ministry capacities: youth pastorates, deacon boards, Sunday school teachers, and worship teams. He was a member of Happy Hill Church. He was also a member of the Coffeyville Keystone Lodge #102 Masons. Richard loved to sing and blessed so many with his beautiful tenor voice and sweet “teddy-bear like” demeanor. He enjoyed spending time at the lake with his family, watching his grandkids grow, and we can’t forget watching Westerns, he loved his Westerns!

Richard is survived by his wife, Janie, of the home, his daughter, Cytina Taylor and husband Steve, granddaughter Kelsey Tinsley and husband Zach, grandson Kaleb Taylor and great-grandson Lincoln Tinsley; all of Bartlesville, OK. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Nottingham and wife Debbie of Marana, AZ, another brother David Nottingham and wife Barbara of Afton, OK and a sister, Mary Cook of Bartlesville, OK. As well as several nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Dorothy Rose, a brother Steve Nottingham, another brother, Paul Nottingham and a sister Mae Elsworth.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday May 6, 2018 at 10:00am at Happy Hill Church with a graveside to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville at 2:00pm.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Friday May 5, 2018 Stumpff Funeral Home.
