Pasty Joyce Mitchell, 87, of Bartlesville, passed away June 1, 2017.

Patsy was born on January 30, 1930 to George and Myrtle (Powell) Swank in Dewey, Oklahoma. She was a 1949 graduate of the high school class in Dewey, Oklahoma. Patsy worked several jobs over the years; she was a telephone operator, she worked at Cities Services, and she was a sales clerk at JC Penney.

In her younger days, Patsy enjoyed being active outdoors. She liked to go camping, and spending time working in her flower garden. She also had great fun going to the horse races. On June 16, 1972, Patsy married Harold Mitchell in Missouri. Harold preceded her in death on November 29, 2016. Patsy liked to go shopping, and she would most often be seen wearing her favorite color, red. She also enjoyed watching cowboy television shows and soap operas.

Patsy loved and adored her grandchildren, and she treasured spending time with them.

Patsy is survived by her two sons, Bobby Sawyer and wife Linda of Broken Arrow and Mike Sawyer and wife Nita of Bartlesville; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
