Floriene Messall was born March 10, 1922, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to James A. Moreland and Lida Mae (Sharp) Moreland. Her father passed away when she was 7 and her mother married Floyd Haven Davis in Pampa, Texas. They were transferred to Hudson, Ohio and Detroit, Michigan and eventually Bartlesville, Oklahoma in 1937. Flo graduated from the first class of College High School in 1940. In 1941 she married A.B. (Art) Messall, a chemist for Phillips Petroleum Company. In a short time, they were relocated to Kansas City, Kansas and in 1944, Mary Kathryn was born. In 1948, they returned to Bartlesville and in 1950 she began a 35-year career with Phillips Petroleum Company. In 1974 she was Desk and Derrick President and later traveled as a public speaker for Phillips. She retired in 1985 and became a private pilot until 1997. She loved gardening, bridge and her church activities. She volunteered for "Meals on Wheels", Jane Phillips Auxiliary and was a member of “Tuesday Club” for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lida Mae and James Moreland, stepfather F. H. Davis, sister Lucille Moreland, husband Art Messan and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Surviving her are, daughter, Mary Kathryn Krigbaum and husband Tom, grandchildren Jessica, Megan, Sara, Robert, Ryan. Wally and Kara Snauder.

She adored all her children and was very involved in their lives. She will be missed tremendously.

Graveside interment will be Friday, July 23, 2021, at 1:30 pm at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Memorial services and cremation is under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory
