Steve was born August 2nd,1956 in Milan, Tennessee to Tommie and Jesse Medina. He moved to Bartlesville at a very young age where he grew up with with his brother Thomas Medina and sister Lisa Medina. He graduated from College High (Col-Hi) in 1974. He met his future wife, Rose Medina and were married in 1976 and continued to live in Bartlesville. Steve had three children, Jennifer Medina, Steven Medina, and Jessica Medina-Benningfield. Steve enjoyed his life’s work putting his mark on Bartlesville and the surrounding area through concrete work. Steve’s passion was for his family and showed his love through coaching his children’s sports, weekends at the lake, Sooner football, and sharing his faith with each of them. Steve was loved by everyone he met but was considered a very special person to those who knew him the best.
Survivors include his
wife Rose, his three children Jennifer Medina, Steven and Jenica Medina,
and Jessica and Joey Benningfield, his parents Tommie and Jesse Medina,
his siblings Thomas Medina and Lisa Medina, and his grandchildren Lane
Summers, Nakota Summers, Gabriel Summers, Steven Medina, and Shelby
Medina.
There will be a Rosary on Thursday, June 8th at 6:00pm at Stumpff
Funeral Home.
His funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 10th at 10:00am at St. John Before the Latin Gate Catholic Church.
A scholarship
fund will be set up in the memory of Steve for a graduating Bartlesville
High School senior. If you would like to contribute please contact a
