Mr. Harold A. Mattix, 89, retiree of the Phillips Petroleum Co., who
passed away on Tuesday, were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the
graveside in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Edgar Gordon was the
officiant. Final rites were directed by The Arnold Moore Funeral
Service.
Survivors include his son, Jimmie Allen Mattix and Shirley,
Livingston, Texas; his daughter, Mrs. Sharon Kay Lankford and
Delmar, Bartlesville; eight grandchildren, Becky Sue Mattix,
Bartlesville, Jan Marie Harrison and James, Irving, Texas, Harry
Allen Mattix, Thornton, Texas, Mary Helen Jourdon, Irving, Texas,
Sherry Kay Branch and Jimmy, Dayton, Texas, Delmar Lee Lankford,
Jr., and Jackie, Mounds, Oklahoma, Ted Wayne Lankford and Meleta,
Richardson, Texas and Nick Allen Lankford and Terri Lynn, Trophy
Club, Texas; 16 great grandchildren; and a great great grandson; two
brothers, Henry F. "Hank" Mattix and Marian, Dewey, Jack F. Mattix
and Adele, Tulsa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Cooper, Mrs.
Margaret Stanberry, both of Bartlesville, and Mrs. Orpha Jean Bowen
and Bill, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, wife, a grandson, Jimmie Allen Mattix, Jr. and by two brothers, Harry E. Mattix, Jr. and Billy Mattix.
