Cleo was born April 10, 1933 in Jackson Township, Washington
County, Oklahoma to Martin and Ala Mae (Reed) Lowen. He made his home in
the Bartlesville area working at Zinc for many years before retiring and
moving to Dewey for the last 20 years.
Cleo absolutely loved his family and living in the country. He loved
bluegrass music and traveled often to those festivals. He enjoyed
growing his vegetable gardens every year and had quite a green thumb.
Cleo enjoyed watching the cows and the birds and was happy to see hay
season coming. He adored all his family and felt extremely blessed to
get to see them all grow. He could often be caught speaking proudly of
all of them.
He is preceded in death by his mother; father; two brothers, James and
Phyletus Lowen; three sisters, Nancy McClintock, Rosalie Polk and Louisa
Cooper; wife, Peggy (Horton) Lowen and their children, Randy and Theresa
Lowen, Second wife Peggy King and third wife, Della (Atteberry) Tate
Lowen.
He is survived by grandchildren, Donnie and Christy Tate of Dewey, and
Nathan and Shelly Tate of Bartlesville; great grandchildren, Natalie
Tate and Martin Scott of Spavinaw; also, sister, Mary Rushing of San
Antonio, TX and Renada Puente of Bartlesville and many more
"adopted" loved ones.
Graveside service will be at 2:00pm Friday, October 25, 2019 at Memorial
Park Cemetery with Reverend Willard Lyons officiating.
