Warren Dean Lovendahl, age 96, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025. He was born on November 24, 1928, in Clyde, Kansas, to George and Signe Lovendahl.
Dean grew up in Clyde, where he attended high school before going on to earn his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University. Following college, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for two years.
During this time, he married the love of his life, Betty Jean Haley, in Topeka, Kansas. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised three children - Larry, Cathy, and Bruce.
After his military service, Dean began his lifelong career as a petroleum engineer with Phillips 66, which brought the family to Bartlesville. His strong work ethic and dedication made him a valued member of the company for many years.
Dean loved spending time with his family and enjoyed life to the fullest. He had a passion for travel, especially in his RV, and loved camping and time spent at the lake. He also enjoyed playing tennis and golf, staying active throughout his life.
He is survived by his children Larry Lovendahl (Jennifer), Cathy Walden (Ed), and Bruce Lovendahl; granddaughter Heather Smith; grandson Michael; and great-grandson Gunnar Smith.
Dean was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty Jean Lovendahl, his parents George and Signe Lovendahl, his sister Gladys Johnson, and his brother Dwain Lovendahl.
Dean will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His legacy will continue to live on through his family and the many lives he touched.
