BARTLESVILLE EXAMINER-ENTERPRISE
BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Cecil R. Kimmel, age 75 and Bartlesville resident, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at his home.

Cecil Ray Kimmel was born in Bartlesville on April 12, 1942. He was the son of Cecil Robert Kimmel and Margaret Elma (Heaton) Kimmel. He was a life-long resident of the Bartlesville area where he received his education, graduating from College High School in 1960.
Cecil was a long-time employee of Phillips Petroleum Company where he worked in the Print Shop as an Off-Set Printer Technician. After 35 years with the company, he retired and continued his residence in Bartlesville.
Cecil was known for his kindness to others, often looking for where he could be helpful. He had many interests, particularly hunting, fishing and tinkering around his garage. However, his family was the most important thing in his life. He made many good friends during his career at Phillips, as well as others outside of the company, and he will be dearly missed.

Survivors include his son, Tony Ray Kimmel and his wife, Donna, of Cache, Oklahoma; son, Toby Ray Kimmel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughter, Desta Kimmel of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Kellie Jo Schmidt of Fort Riley, Kansas, Kristie Marie Kimmel, of Cache, Oklahoma; and Taylor Rae Kimmel, of Oklahoma City; four great grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Gene Kimmel of Nolanville, Texas; chosen family members, Troy Sielsky and Barbara Dowd; and his faithful, Winnie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances may be made in Cecil's memory to the American Diabetes Foundation; Bartlesville Community Foundation; Animal Rescue Foundation of Bartlesville; or to the charity of choice.

A graveside service will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery on Wednesday, October 11, at 10:00 AM. The family would like to invite those who would like to share their memories/stories of Cecil during the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore and Neekamp Funeral Home.
