Gene Hastings passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 in Tulsa, OK.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #105 Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Folds of Honor Foundation, 5800 N. Patriot Drive, Owasso, OK 74055.

Donald Eugene Hastings was born August 24, 1916 in Snyder, CO to Warren and Bessie (Potts) Hastings. Gene proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1941-1945. He married Maxine Enloe on November 15, 1941 in Golden, CO. Gene enjoyed volunteering at his home church, The Fellowship Community, where he helped with upkeep and mowing. Gene was the St. Louis Cardinals #1 all time baseball fan. He was an avid golfer and also worked at Sunset Country Club and many years at National Zinc, Inc. as a Foreman.

Gene is survived by his three daughters: Joyce Maxine Gold and husband James of Tulsa, Barbara Jean Fugate and husband George of Bixby and Benna Kay Winn of Port Aransas, TX. He was blessed with five grandchildren: Joe Don Gold, Kim Owen, Michael Fugate, Kelsey Winn, Holly McBlane, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He is also survived by his sister, Laurel Evans, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Maxine Hastings and ten siblings.
