Jim was born on May 18, 1945 in Seminole, Oklahoma to James A Harris, Jr and Mary Sue Harris. He married Kattie E Harris on June 18, 1966. He graduated from Plains High School in 1964. Jim was an experienced electrician all his life when he obtained employment at Phillips 66 in 1965. Jim worked in various positions within Phillips 66 and retired as Senior Management in 2002. Jim’s passion was collecting antiques, including a wide collection of Phillips 66 products and rebuilding oldie but goody cars. Over the years Jim and Kattie traveled the states enjoying collecting antiques and he rebuilt 10 oldie cars as well as being a helper to many others with their car projects. Jim also was a sport fan especially of baseball and coached his son and many others over the years. Jim was known and loved by many.
Jim is survived by his wife: Kattie (Thames) Harris of the home; his child: Michael James Harris and wife Nickie Harris of Dewey, OK. His grandchildren: Krista (Harris) Hastings and husband Ty Hastings, Dakota Harris, and Scarlett Nabatian. His great-grandchildren: Octavia Hastings. Brothers/Sisters: Betty Ann Nelson and husband Nick Nelson of Orange, TX; Wayne Harris and wife Susan Harris of Bryan, TX; Bobby Harris and wife Christy Harris of Liberty, TX Aunts/Uncles: Claudia Hill of OKC, OK and JP Duvall of Seminole, OK Cousins: Cindy Langston and husband Donnie Langston of Fairland, OK And many other cousins, family, and friends he loved dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father James A Harris, Jr
and Mother Mary Sue Harris.
