DEWEY, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)
Delilah Inez (Myers) Gregory, known to her many friends as "Minnie,"
died June 21, 2013, in Bartlesville.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013,
in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of
Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Inez was born October 10, 1926, in Dover, Arkansas. She moved with
her family to Bartlesville shortly thereafter and spent the
remainder of her life as a Bartlesville resident. Inez attended
Bartlesville Public Schools, and graduated from Bartlesville High
School in 1944. She and Bill Gregory were married on October 1,
1948, in Galena Park, Texas and made their home in Bartlesville. She
was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company before raising her
family, and retired from Graham-Rogers, Inc., after more than 25
years of service. She was a long-time member of the First United
Methodist Church of Bartlesville. Minnie enjoyed traveling, always
had flowers growing in the spring, and she loved making holidays,
particularly Christmas, special for her family. She was always full
of life, baked the world's best chocolate chip cookies, and always
wanted "just one more day" when on family vacations.
Inez was preceded in death by husband, Bill, father and mother,
William Lewis and Sally Lois Myers, brothers, Dewayne Myers and Bill
Myers, and sister, Louise Page.
She is survived by her brother, Don Myers (Conroe, TX), sons and
daughters-in-law, Steve and Linda Gregory (Ramona, OK) and Scott and
Meg Gregory (Eden Prairie, MN), grandchildren Tim Gregory (Ramona,
OK), Tracy (Gregory) and Michael Daigle (Ramona, OK), Adam Gregory
(Casper, WY), and Alex Gregory (Eden Prairie, MN),
great-grandchildren Abby and Colton Daigle, and many nieces,
nephews, and friends.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made
to Comforting Hands Hospice, 2450 SE Washington Blvd., Suite A,
Bartlesville, OK, 74006.
