Rufus Henry (R. H.) Geurin, Jr., passed away peacefully on October 15, 2016 at Heritage Villa after years of declining health.

R. H. was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on September 3, 1927 to Rufus Henry Geurin Sr. and Margaret Hinkle Geurin. His mother passed away shortly after his birth. His father the married Beulah Ward Geurin, who raised him. R. H. graduated from College High School in 1945. He married Rosalie Pittman in 1948, who preceded him in death in 1954. He married Wanda King in 1955. They later divorced. R. H. married Jean (Harder) Harmon in 1969. She preceded him in death in 20083. R. H. began his work career working for Page-Glencliff. He then worked as a route salesman for Meadow Gold Milk and Bond Bread. He then worked for the Printing Center before opening the Bartlesville Print Shop in 1980. He retired in 2010. R.H. spent 20 years volunteering for the Dewey Fire Department, retiring in 1986. R.H. was a longtime member of East Bartlesville Christian Church. He enjoyed bowling and golfing and was an eager volunteer in the Bartlesville and Dewey communities. His main enjoyment was spending time with his family and friends.

R. H. is survived by two brothers, Herman E (Delores) Geurin of Jenks, Oklahoma and David M. (Donna) Geurin of Billings, Montana; four children, Lucinda (Ralph) Shead of Carl Junction, Missouri; David (Debra) Geurin Of Dewey, Oklahoma; Lutricia (Bryon) Harris of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Lisa (Sterling) Jackson of Pittsburg, Kansas; two step-children, Johnny Harmon of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Linda (Mike) Tyner of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Ten grandchildren, Erin, Sarah, Matthew (Ashley) Shead, Cassandra (Ryan) Stauder, Kelsey (Jackson) Couture, Dianne (Jay) Stumpff, Crystal (Daniel) Scott, Pamela (Jeremy) Butler, Joshua Chopra and Emily (Justin) Noe. Five step-grandchildren, Michelle Tyner, Meggon Tyner Wilson, Travis (Tonya) Tyner, Jon (Marla) Harmon and Joel Harmon. 23 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, an aunt Lois Hinkle and cousins.

Others who preceded him in death were his parents and his sister, Rosalie Geurin.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in R. H.'s memory be given to the Dewey Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Dewey City Hall or Iberoamericano Ministries, P.O. Box 1493, Monroe, WA 98272 (Erin Shead, Equador)
