The family will be receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 14th at the funeral home.
A graveside service
will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 in
Memorial Park Cemetery with Chaplain Henry Bartlett
officiating. Military rites will be presented by
American Legion Post #105 Honor Guard. Arrangements are
under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Kirk McDowell Estes was born March 18, 1922 in Salina,
KS to Don Cameron and Elenor (McDowell) Estes. Kirk
proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp
during
WWII. He graduated with a Bachelors Degree from
Oklahoma University in 1946. Kirk was a systems analyst
for Phillips Petroleum Co. retiring in 1984 after
approximately 40 years of dedicated service.
Kirk is survived by three daughters: Cheryl and husband
Ray Bender of Claremore, Shauna and husband Morgan
Gallian of South Lake, TX, Karen and husband Steve
Michno of Copan and son, Kirk Michael Estes of Broken
Arrow. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, nine
great grandchildren and numerous great-great
grandchildren. Kirk is also survived by a sister-in-law,
Billie Estes, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives
and many friends.
Kirk was preceded in death by his wife, Maurine DeEtte
Estes, brother, Don C. Estes Jr., sister, Diana Berry
and his parents.
