Mr. George Charles Earley, 87, of Bartlesville,
passed away at 12:45 P.M. on Wednesday, March 2,
2016, at the Heritage Villa Nursing Center.
Services for Mr. Earley will be held at 1 P.M.
on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at the East Cross
United Methodist Church with Rev. Bill
Tankersley of the Boston Avenue United Methodist
Church in Tulsa officiating. Private interment
will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed
by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
Friends who wish may call for visitation at the
Stumpff Funeral Home from 9 AM till 8 P.M daily
thru Friday evening.

Mr. Earley was born in Lander, Wyoming on May
24, 1928, the son of Ray George Earley and
Alberta Alice (Miller) Earley. He grew up and
graduated from high school in Lander. He played
clarinet in his high school band and worked with
his father in the family owned grain mill. He
attended the University of Wyoming where he
placed third in the nation on his college rifle
team. In 1950 he graduated with a Bachelor's
degree in Chemistry and then went to work as a
chemist for the fertilizer division of Phillips
Petroleum Company. On December 30, 1950, he
married his college sweetheart and fellow
chemist Shirley Ann Currie in Casper, Wyoming.
They made their home in Cactus, Texas until
moving to Houston, Texas in 1953. In 1960 the
family moved to Bartlesville where Mr Earley
continued with Phillips until his retirement in
1985. Mrs. Earley preceded him in death on April
9, 2001. Mr. Earley found love again marrying
Carolyn Cox Stewart on March 23, 2003. They
continued to live in Bartlesville enjoying their
blended family until her death on July 10, 2015.
Mr. Earley was an active member of the local
chapter of the Sigma Chi fraternity, a Lifetime
Member of the National Rifle Association, was
active in Boy Scouts as a youth and a Leader,
and volunteered with the local Girl Scout
Council. He served as a Republican Precinct
Chairman. He enjoyed hunting, photography,
bridge, jokes and puns, fixing things, and above
all helping others.
Mr. Earley is survived by one brother: R. Fred
Earley of Denver, Colorado; three children:
Diane Alice Pullin and husband Brad of
Streetman, Texas, Linda Leigh Farquhar and
husband Don of Wichita, Kansas and Ray George
Earley II and wife Sharon of Tulsa; three step
daughters: Sharon Louise Hart of Tulsa, Kathryn
Rose Stewart and husband Mark Beckwith of
Bartlesville, and Eileen Gale Boyle and husband
Kelley of Bartlesville; six grandchildren: Troy
Alan Pullin, Lisa Ann Wing and husband Brian,
Lauren Rae Farquhar and husband Josh Jansen,
Katherine Farquhar Berner and husband Andy,
Cheryl Renee Earley, and Jason Ray Earley; seven
step grandchildren: Christopher Reese Hart and
wife Cindy, Megan Rose Stewart, William Russell
Boyle, Lauren Eileen Boyle, Domni Renee Reherman,
Daniel Joseph Boyle, and Rachel Elizabeth Boyle;
and two great grandchildren: Austin Bradley
Wing, and Kinzee Ann Wing.
In addition to his
two wives, Mr. Earley was preceded in death by
his parents and one sister, Jean Elizabeth
Earley Brooks.
