Mrs. Jewell C. Cornelius, 87, of Bartlesville, died at 12:45 P.M. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelius will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, March 28, 2016 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

Casket escorts will include Jason Cornelius, Justin Silver, Dustin Cornelius, Michael R. Cornelius, Isaac Dyer and Dylan Dyer.

Friends who wish may call for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Friday & Saturday until 8 P.M. and on Monday from 9 A.M. until 12 Noon.

Mrs. Cornelius was born on September 21, 1928 to Dolphus and Ida (Clark) Harris in Hazelgreen, Missouri. She grew up and received her education in Richland, Missouri and was married to Raymond L. Cornelius on July 17, 1945 and from that marriage four children were born, Shirley Jean, Michael Gene, Barbara Sue and Sharon Kay. They moved to Bartlesville in 1957 to make their home.

Mrs. Cornelius is survived by one son, Michael G. Cornelius of Copan, two daughters, Barbara Woodworth and husband Carl of Ramona, Sharon Silver of Bartlesville, grandchildren, Sheryl Dyer and husband Tim of Collinsville, Kim Simmons and husband Dan of Wann, Tammy Hendrickson of Wylie, Texas, Jason Cornelius of Garland, Texas, Justin Silver and wife Leah of Stillwater, Dustin Cornelius of Dewey, Ok., and Michael R. Cornelius and wife Brandy of Copan, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter, Shirley Murphy, grandson, Travis Woodworth, great granddaughter, Arianna Cornelius and her sister, Hazel Smith.
