Patricia “Pat” Ann Freeman Clinger passed away Saturday, January 1,
2022, in her home in Bixby, Oklahoma.
She was born to Earl Alvin Freeman and Velma Jane Woodall in St. Louis,
Missouri, on March 24, 1930. On August 17, 1951, Pat married the love of
her life, Theodore “Ted” Ray Clinger. Pat attended the University of
Tulsa where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, Master of Science
degree, and Doctor of Education degree. She worked as an educator
teaching K-6, mentally and physically handicapped children, and college
students at BWC. She worked at several schools including Bell Ringer
School in Bartlesville, Bartlesville Public Schools, and Oklahoma
Wesleyan University. Pat biggest accomplishments included helping found,
direct, and teach at Bell Ringer School and helping in the development
of the Education Division and Chairman at BWC. Pat also enjoyed
sculpting, painting, and loved to read. All her milestones in life
revolved around those whom she loved including her husband, children,
grandchildren, and her students.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Velma Freeman, her brothers Emerson A. Freeman and Adrian A. Freeman, and her husband Theodore Ray Clinger.
Pat is survived by her daughter Cynthia Bogle and her husband Kenneth; her son Tad Clinger and his wife Cathy; her grandchildren: Kim Bogle Wise (Justin), Kevin Bogle (Olivia), Andrea Clinger, Cason Clinger, Angela Smith (Brian), Tanna Donalson, and Garet Stroup (Anika); her great-grandchildren: Colton and Brooke Wise; Joshua, Cassidy and Eleanor Bogle; Naomi and Samuel Donalson; Penelope and Sullivan Smith; Liam and Ivan Stroup.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 7, 2022, at 11 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Bixby, Oklahoma and is under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
