Roger Thomas Couch, 77, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at home.
Roger was born December 14, 1948, in Kansas City, MO to Rhea Roger Couch and Winona Mary (Gossett) Couch. He grew up in Bartlesville and graduated from College High School, Class of 1967. He then graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1971 and loved watching Cowboys football. He and Judy Freling Couch were married in 1972 in Bartlesville. Roger and Judy made Bartlesville their home.
When Roger was young, he loved to play the guitar and organ. He played in a local band, Boody and the Batmen, during his high school years. Later he took up fishing and loved going to their cabin at Grand Lake. In 1971 he started working at Phillips Petroleum Co., then transferred to Applied Automation, Inc. He ended his working career at Johnson-Yokogawa.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 54 years. Judy Freling Couch; son Christopher; stepdaughter Pam Brannon and her husband TK; and several step grandchildren. He is also survived by his precious fur babies. Roger is preceded in death by his parents Rhea and Winona Couch.
Roger's cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory and will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Roger's memory to the WCSPCA, 16620 St Hwy, Bartlesville OK 74006
