Kyle Glenn Carlson of Bartlesville, OK passed away on September 10, 2022, in the early morning hours at the age of 46. He was born to Kenneth Lloyd (Doc) and Barbara Jean Nagel Carlson on February 25th, 1976, in Tishomingo, OK. He grew up in Madill, OK where he graduated from High School in 1994. Kyle attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK in 1999. He was a member of both schools' rodeo team where he was affectionately known as "Scoop".
After college, Kyle spent time in Texas and California. He worked and chased the rodeo trail. He was even an extra in the movie American Outlaws. In 2004, Kyle moved back to Madill to help his father with his veterinary business until he passed in 2006. He then was back in Texas working in the oilfield business. Kyle moved to Bartlesville in 2009 to run Lookin' Sharp Laundry and Dry Cleaners with his mom.
Kyle married the love of his life, Hollie Wesley Carlson on May 12, 2012, and gained two beautiful sons Conner and Cameron Schollenbarger. June 6, 2013, Kyle and Hollie welcomed Kody Glenn Carlson. Kody was Kyle's greatest accomplishment and he loved him fiercely.
Kyle's hobbies included roping, raising horses, dancing, and spending time with friends and family.
Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Lloyd Carlson, his grandparents, Glenn and Betty Nagel and Lloyd and Myra Carlson, his aunt Alice Marie Phillips, and his uncle Dr. Randall Pedersen.
He is survived by his wife, Hollie Carlson, his son, Kody Carlson, stepsons Conner and Cameron Schollenbarger, his mother, Barbara Carlson all of Bartlesville, his brother, Bret Carlson and wife Lynne of Choctaw, OK, his sister, Tami Brinkman and her husband Koby of Bartlesville. Sister-in-laws Angela and Randy Santos and Patricia and Stan Fouts, His Father-in-law Nelson & Dorothy Wesley, and Mother-in-law Nancy Simpson. Nieces: Taylor White, Tessa White, Jessica Estes and Andrea Ellis. Nephews: Haze Carlson and wife Stacia, Dace Carlson, Jake Telford, Tyler Telford, and Andrew Fouts and wife Kaci. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Nancy Pedersen, John and Barbara Nagel, Noralee and Bob Matousek, Karen and John Nusser, many cousins and loved ones.
Visitation is set for Thursday, September 15th from 5-7 at Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory in Bartlesville, OK. Service will be Saturday, September 17th at 11am at Bluestem Baptist Church in Dewey, OK followed by a burial at Memorial Park in Bartlesville.
