STUMPFF FUNERAL HOME
BARTLESVILLE, WASHINGTON CO, OK
(permission granted)

Jack Davern Blevins was born November 10th, 1930 in Okfuskee, Oklahoma. Jack was 86 when he passed peacefully with his wife Julie “Marie” (Harris) Blevins at his bedside holding his hand. He lived at the Heritage Living Center with Marie in Conway, AR.

In 1977, Jack decided it was time to start his own business calling it, Jack D Blevins Construction. He soon realized there was a lot more to it than just building houses but more importantly, needed them to sale. Jack knew he needed someone who had exquisite taste when it came to decorating the inside and knowing someday it would be someone’s home. His wife Marie was perfect for the job and once she started the houses began selling quickly. When the oil bust hit Bartlesville in the early 80’s, Jack had built 56 houses that did make nice homes and made many dear friends along the way.
When Jack wasn’t working he loved to go crappie fishing with his best brother-in-law Johnny Underwood. Because of this, their families have had many wonderful memories of getting together for one more fish fry.
Last but not least, Jack was an avid reader of the bible and loved to share his knowledge with his bible study class that he taught for many years at The Church of God of Prophecy located here in Bartlesville. The church was built over 30 years ago with Jack overseeing the construction as the church members and others contributed their time in various ways until the church was completed

Loved ones that went before Jack are his parents Ernest and Ada (Wray) Blevins, two brothers, Rex and Ed Blevins and one sister Bea Davis and his son Darrel Blevins.

Jack leaves behind his “best buddy” Marie Blevins of Conway, AR. Along with one son Steve Blevins of Bartlesville and one daughter Sherri Blevins Thompson of Conway, Ar.
Also, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and his best fishing buddy, Johnny Underwood of Bartlesville.

Jack’s family will be at Stumpff Funeral Home on Saturday April 1st from 10:00 am till 12:00 pm for viewing and visitation.

Graveside services will be held at the Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Pastor Mike Harris officiating.
