David Arnold Bates, 70 of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away November 13, 2019.

David was born January 24, 1949 to Harold Lee and Florence Irene (Logan) Bates in Bartlesville. David received his education through Bartlesville Public School system. David proudly served his country as a member of the US Army fulfilling a tour of duty in Viet Nam. David was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Viet Nam Service Medal and the Viet Nam Campaign Medal. David worked as a professional musician and painter. Many lives were touched through David’s faith.

David is survived by his son Wesley David Holly and wife Christine, son Daniel Briggs. Also surviving David are grandsons Mason Holly and Josh Clark; granddaughter Carly Nyiri along with many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Florence Bates, brother, Jerry Bates and sisters Sherry McGuire and Tootie Bryant.

Graveside services are pending and will be announced by Stumpff Funeral Home.
