Henretta Beal, 84, of Bartlesville, passed away early Thursday following a long illness.

Henretta was born on April 16, 1941, in Atoka, Oklahoma, to Henry and Victoria (Hendrix) Johnson. She was raised in Nelagoney, Oklahoma, where she attended Nelagoney schools, graduating in 1960. After high school, she moved to Bartlesville, where she began working and pursued her education at a local business school.

Following her studies, Henretta relocated to Oklahoma City and built a career as a network clerk with Southwestern Bell. She remained with the company until her retirement in 1996. In 1998, she returned to Bartlesville to be closer to her loved ones.

Henretta was a devoted member of the Dewey Church of Christ, always eager to lend a helping hand. She had a passion for crafting - especially crocheting, knitting, and quilting - and she cherished the time spent with her family.

Henretta is survived by her sister, Joyce Reames of Dewey; her brother, Freddy Johnson of Bartlesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Victoria Johnson; and siblings Martha, Marvin, and Lloyd Johnson, Louise Cummins, Lois Notley, Bobby Johnson, Billy Johnson, Joe Johnson, Wanda Larmore, and Orville Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17th, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville.
