Mr. Richard Austin Applegate, 92, of Dewey, died at 6:05 A.M. on Friday, September 20, 2019 at the Medicalodge in Dewey.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A,.M. Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville with Rev. Jim Anderson of the Word of Truth Fellowship officiating.

Visitation will be at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM until 5 PM.

Mr. Applegate was born in Bartlesville on April 9, 1927 the son of Richard Austin Applegate and Velma (Lowe) Applegate. He served in the U.S. Army and was married to Anna Mae Atkins in Bartlesville on April 5, 1958. They made their home in Dewey and owned and operated R & A Campers in Dewey. He was a member of the Word of Truth Fellowship.

Survivors include seven nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Norman, two sisters, Deanie Scott and Darlene Cramer-Prior and by his wife, Anna Mae Applegate on September 30, 2017.
