Ruby was born February 16,
1921 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Viola C. and Roy E.H. Thein. She married Martin L. Armour on
March 18, 1945. They moved to Dewey about 1950.
Ruby was a member of Dewey United Methodist
Church and active in United Methodist Women and
other ministries of the church. She worked as a
secretary for several years before becoming a
full-time mother and homemaker. Her special
talent and interest was in sewing and
needlework. She enjoyed quilting, embroidery,
crocheting and home sewing.
Ruby was preceded in death by her husband,
Martin Armour, her parents, and four brothers,
Russell, Ralph, Robert and Roy Thein.
She is
survived by three children, Carol Jenkner of
Dodge City, Kansas; Susan Armour (Tom Mazzeo) of
Durham, North Carolina; and David Armour (Judi
Gingold) of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is also
survived by two grandchildren, Sarah Jenkner of
Greeley, Colorado; and Alex Jenkner, Overland
Park, Kansas; two sisters, Rose Trobaugh and
Ruth Price of Oklahoma City; and Margo Thein,
sister-in-law, also of Oklahoma City.
The family would like to thank the staff at
Medicalodges Dewey and Cornerstone Hospice for
their love and care of Ruby, and Greg Oates, for
his neighborly help and compassion. Ruby will be
greatly missed.
Come and go visitation will be on Thursday, 9:00
AM-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral
Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave.
Services will be held Friday, September 15, at
1:00 o'clock at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral
Home chapel. Pastor Dale Durnell, Dewey United
Methodist Church, will officiate.
Interment will
follow the service in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the
Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Online
